We have "misplaced" our MacBook power cord.
Why does this feel like a tragedy has occurred?
I have millions of Thanksgiving, Hanukkah decorating preparing and celebrating photos and video to upload.
Oh bring back oh bring back oh bring the power cord back to me to me!
Asher has a habit of hiding things so I think he has outsmarted us.
I know you want to see the video of him saying Hanukkah or cheesing for the camera.

Sissy's Birthday Weekend
Sissy turned 27!
To celebrate Sissy and Uncle Rich came home for lots of celebrating.
We were so excited to have them home since they wont be able to home for the holidays.
During their visit home we made a visit Willow Grove where Great Aunt Estelle and Great Uncle Jerry live for a house warming party. Willow Grove hosted "supper" in their honor and they got to pick the menu, invite their guests and eat in a private dining room. Uncle Rich played piano with Asher.

and he LOVED it...

Saturday night we had a pajama party at my parents house. Just the 7 of us. It was THE best. It had been awhile since we enjoyed dinner just us and relaxed. We enjoyed birthday cake and family time. We all watched Yo Gabba Gabba as Asher entertained us with his dance moves.
Sunday we all went to brunch at Big View Diner. Eliza's inlaws came in from Winston Salem. Celebrating with the cutest birthday sister ever!
(ps...this is the new look for me. I am in my glasses at least for the next 2 months)

Mom and Dad with their baby

Eliza with her in-laws. They love her and we love them!

My favorites!!!!

I love you sissy and miss you already.
Happy 27th birthday...I still can't believe you are 27 and all grown up!
Dinner Date
Asher invited over his girlfriends Ella and Sally Page for dinner

He really wanted to sit in Sally Page's lap but wasn't having any of that,

asher decided he was better off pushing Sally Page around the house,

beep beep.. .coming through,

pushing my lady around is serious business,

asher shares with his lady on their date,

taking a break to email his mommy,

while Sally Page was busy spending Asher's money,

and Ella was rocking out,

and of course the date ended with a busted lip...

Based on the outcome of this evening we know the ladies were in charge on this dinner date.
Get used to it Asher :)

Cool Tricks, Cool Tricks!
As Yo Gabba Gabba says...
Cool Tricks, Cool Tricks!
Asher can identify his nose, head, ears, mouth and belly (which often includes lifting up his shirt) by name. He can blow a kiss, make a very mean scrunched up facial expression and quack and flap like a chicken. When he dances he throws his hands up in the air and waves them back and forth like a gangster. Its hilarious.
He recently started moo'ing like a cow and barking like a dog. He tried to put his shoes on his feet and can say "hues". He loves to help get him dressed. He can feed himself with a fork or a spoon and can pick the items up with his utensil. He has mastered "dropping" food to Bella. He loves to watch us cook in the kitchen.
He learned how to say HOT and what it means...which he says OT OT and draws his hands up to his side. I confess its ridiculously cute. I caught him mimicing me when I tucked him into bed by saying I love you. New words he can say are: Milk, doggy, Papu, yucky, baby, up, yes (and others I cant remember because I am horrible about documenting them).
It's amazing how much he changes from day to day. Such a sweet smart boy.

Black Eye
Asher had a major Ut Oh moment on Thursday night.
He was playing in Softa's kitchen and pulled a wrought iron breakfast table chair over on himself. He fell back on to a metal plant stand.

After crying for a few seconds and trying to catch his breath... a little hershey's quieted him down. We took him to the pediatrician to get checked because we wanted to make sure he didn't break any bones, damage his eye socket or bust blood vessels. We are confident he is ok.

As each day passes it will look worse, but will be getting better.
I am sure this is the first of many more black eyes and bruises.

Sh'ma Yisrael
A typical night with Asher.
Lounging in the tub!

Making waves in the tub.

Splashing and blowing bubbles are my two favorite things to do in the tub

In Deep Thought...

Throwing a kiss!

Crazy Hair!

Sweet Dreams

Part of our bedtime routine consists of saying the Sh'ma each night
שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָה אֶחָד
Before going to sleep, the first paragraph of the Shema is recited. This is not only a commandment directly given in the Bible (in Deuteronomy 6:6–7), but is also alluded to from verses such as "Commune with your own heart upon your bed" (Psalms 4:4).

Sippy Cup Update
Sippy cups are for water. According to Asher
They are not meant for milk. According to Asher
This has been a difficult transition.
Maybe it is because he was breast fed till he was 16 months.
Maybe it is because he is stuck in his ways.
Amanda found this transition sippy cup and so far this is the ONLY "pseudo sippy cup" Asher will drink milk out of. Wish us luck as we transition to a regular sippy cup.

We have tried just about everything to include straws, the nuby cups, silicone sippy cups, regular cups, the Born Free sippy cup tops...
Feel free to make suggestions as to what worked for you.
