philip emailed me one day to tell me that the women he works with wanted to throw us a shower.
he is the only male in his entire team and had only been working there less than a year so we were both shocked and so honored.
they requested that both asher and i attend so i left work early and swung by my moms to pick up asher ( it happened to be the first day of camp in which asher is doing 1/2 days this summer).
it was rushed, but so worth it.
philip of course kept prepping me that he didn't think they were party planners blah, blah. i was still shocked they even wanted to throw us anything that i laughed it off.
when asher and i arrived he said, "i was wrong... they went all out!"
it was so lovely and so thoughtful. we truly had a great time and i really enjoyed getting to know all the women he talks about from the office....
asher did fantastic meeting lots of new faces. they even got him a few items that he got to open for himself which was so thoughtful.
helping him open his new gifts...
despite his resistance i made philip open all of the presents... when does a male ever get his own baby shower!?!? the smile on his face says it all... i was so happy for his happiness...
the ladies made the most adorable diaper cake for us... and you would never know but this was her first time making one. she did an amazing job!
they provided lots of snacks and treats to celebrate...
and asher loved helping daddy open all the presents and showing them off.
philip is so blessed to work with such wonderful co-workers. he has never worked in an environment like this before and you can truly tell each and every day how much he loves his job...
we could not be more thankful for their generosity and excitement for our family during this exciting time in our lives....
