World's biggest Yankees fan

I received a phone call about 2 weeks prior to Father's Day from my sister.
She snagged tickets to the Yankee's vs the Met's in the new Yankee Stadium for a Father's Day game. She was going to be in NYC for a work event so she could go to the game.

Eliza snagged some ridiculously good seats through a sweet connection.
She was so insanely excited and so was I. We wanted to find a way to get our YANKEE OBSESSED father to NYC for the game so they could go together on Father's Day.

Mom, Eliza and I went in on a flight to NYC for my Dad so he could see the new stadium (which he had been dying to see) and attend the game. We presented him his gift at dinner when my sister came in the weekend prior to Father's Day for Asher's birthday.

If you know my father, you know he is NEVER speechless.
This man NEVER shuts up.
For the first time in my life....I saw him speechless.
Oh and the Yankees World Championship snuggie was his original Father's Day present, hahah!
We love you Dad!

He was so ridiculously excited about going to the game and touring the new stadium. He grew up several blocks from Yankee Stadium as a kid and has been a lifetime die hard fan. Every year for his birthday he asks for the same gift... a susbcription to MLB baseball.

His Dream Came True...

How stinking cute are they?

They even brought Asher back a Derek Jeter shirt!

AND THE YANKEES WON!

After his trip he sent us the following email with photos attached:
How much do I love you? This____________________________________________________________________________much. I had a wonderful time yesterday with Eliza at Yankee Stadium. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. It’s a beautiful place that contains so much of the history of the Yankees that we could not come close to seeing it all. We had great seats (not in the sun) and were treated to a Grand Slam and a shutout by the Bombers. It was fantastic. Thank you isn’t enough to say. More like love you is much more appropriate.
Happy Farter's (Father's) Day Dad! We love you too!
