Picking up the pieces...

After a trip to NYC, a trip to DC (which I still need to blog about) and a trip to California for a week with work (our corporate offices are in Redlands, CA)...this month kicked my ass (excuse my potty mouth). Just last week I worked 60 hours from Monday-Thursday.

I returned home from California on Friday and by Sunday Asher was projectile vomitting...all over me, more than once. This lasted for 6 hours. Woke him out of his nap twice, soiled two sets of sheets, three sets of clothes, resulted in 2 showers for me, 1 for him.

WELCOME HOME MOMMY!

We all stayed home from work on Monday in fear that we would all get the stomach crud. I was the luckiest mommy in the world. Two straight days of an insanely cuddly Asher. He was putty in my arms. He was all about some mommy. He melted into me. Warmed me. Kissed me. Yup he is a professional kisser now and its the best EVER EVER! Late Monday Asher visited the pediatrician and he checked out fine. Late Monday afternoon we received a call from Amanda...she was sick. Thankfully she didnt have the stomach virus, but she got something else viral.

Tomorrow will be day 3 of a modified work schedule for Philip and I.

Thank heavens for flexible jobs and a ridiculous amount of overtime last week.

Everyone is on the mend and ready for a healthier low key February.

oh yeah and he talks, A LOT. he says A LOT. like he can say broccoli. yeah that is 3 syllables. i guess it helps that he likes broccoli he can recognize several written words to include: elephant, hi, arms up, dog, wave, mommy, daddy etc. ...ok so back to his cuteness...

oh and for the record. my milk loving child has been banned from milk courtesy of the "tossing of his cookies" and we tried to reintroduce it and he is now refusing it. what in the world? im hoping this is temporary. although my budget would love it if we cut our organic milk consumption in half. so sad how quickly things change.
