Today was Asher's first REAL bath... His Safta and Papu helped with his first sponge bath and his Nana and Poppy helped with his first real bath. His crusty belly button stump finally fell off when he was playing with his Poppy on Saturday afternoon which meant it was time for a real bath! Thankfully it only took 11 days!
Asher has a pretty calm temperment so we figured the bath wouldnt be "torture" to him. We were told by many friends to start pouring water over his head from day one so he would get used it for the real bath in the tub and for the pool...so we did just that with the special bucket my friend Kim gave us for bathing and he seemed to love it! He didnt cry until we removed him from he water to dry him off...go figure just like his daddy - a fish in the water.
We didn't get all of his bath on video but you can see here even with the washcloth water dripping down his face he didn't really mind it.
The best part of the whole bath was when we wrapped him up in his hooded towel he started to pee! So we had to run water back over his legs to re-wash them! I LOVE BOYS!
