Despite the wasps....

We love all things related to our patio and being outside.

This weekend Philip oiled our Teak Patio Furniture and it looks like a brand new set.

Its amazing what 2 cans of teak oil can do to some dingy grey teak furniture.

We spend a significant amount of time on our patio throughout the warm months and can't get enough of it.

A few weeks ago Philip planted several shurbs, plants and bushes.

This was our 2nd attempt at planting hydrangea and this time we selected an area that gets a lot less sunlight. We think we have a very happy plant on our hands. Check out the growth! Last year's hydrangea got too much sun and attacked by slugs. My hope is that the slugs stay away and this hydragea plant takes off and gets HUGE!

Last fall we transplanted two rose bushes from a friend's over grown yard that have blown up this year. We were worried they would die but they seem to love our yard and all of the sun!

We have two different rose bushes as you can see below and its amazing the growth from one day to the next. I am loving all of the rose blooms and am ready to cut some off and bring them into the house. They smell even better than they look!

I received this book: Softies Only a Mother Could Love, for my birthday from Jen and Naomi.

I finally got out my sewing machine and decided it was time to make Asher some cute softies to cuddle with. I decided to make the hardest one first which is the little guy that is upside on the cover (real wise seeing that I haven't sewn in ages), but its proving to be so much fun! Finished product photos this weekend....

Almost everything is pinned together and the face has been sewn on by hand!

Philip is out of town this weekend for his Best Friend Ben's bachelor party in New Orleans. Please pray that nothing crazy happens to me and no pre-term labor. I plan to lay low outside of sewing and the gym.....and of course sit outside and enjoy the patio!
